COLORED STRIPES ON THE MOUNTAIN, WHAT DO THEY MEAN?

They are a classic on hiking trails. However, not many people know the meaning of each color, and this can be very important:

• White and green: Local Trails. These are the shortest routes, less than 10 kilometers long.
  
• White and yellow: Short Distance. The distance increases and these are trails between 10 and 50 kilometers.
  
• White and red: Long Distance. These are the longest, with lengths over 50 kilometers.

Remember that these signs are placed in strategic locations for visibility, so you shouldn’t have trouble finding them. Also, watch out for the cross, which indicates that direction is not correct, as well as the one with an angular deviation to the left or right to signal a route detour.

 

DON’T LET ALLERGIES LIMIT YOU

Spring brings life to nature, but also an increase in pollen levels. If you are allergic, follow these tips to enjoy the outdoors without problems:
